Clover

I have a thing for Japanese and Korean pop culture. Not sure when it started but somehow jpop and k-wave have improved tremendously :)

A bit excited though because one of my favourite Korean artist, Eun Jiwon with his new group member Clover has released a teaser for their upcoming album. Looks hot!!

Stop and take a breather

Hello there,

Up to date, this is officially my third blog. Just thought I need to start all over and perhaps a new sense of aspiration and inspiration will kick in with this new blog. Just a day before my birthday, this blog like previous blogs, will be another mode to just talk about how I feel, what I think. Though maybe this time around, I hope it will be less stressful and more care free.

So yesterday was the 26th of March, a big day in Brunei also the rest of the world as we celebrated Earth Hour and it was also when 'No-plastic Bag Weekend' commenced in Brunei. These two brought deep messages especially to sustain our eco-system in this challenging era. The amount of energy and plastics used in Brunei are high, thus with such drive it is hoped that more awareness are instilled among us.

Like the rest of the world, Brunei also celebrated Earth Hour yesterday evening. My husband and I decided to drive around and watched which areas celebrated Earth Hour. The commercial area around Yayasan and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque were pitched dark. We also saw Radisson Hotel, Brunei Hotel, NBTBrunei taking part in this meaningful event. Picture above shows Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque during Earth Hour.

I was disappointed that some commercial areas did not partake the event but I suppose one step at a time. I'm looking forward to the statistic on amount of energy saved during yesterday's Earth Hour in Brunei :)

While the morning saw the launching of 'No-plastic Bag Weekend'. Though it can be hard to adjust but do bring your recycling bags during the weekend, just in case you need to shop. I was lucky enough that the shop was giving out recycling bags since it was the first day of the campaign, otherwise I would have been walking around with my hands full of stuff I bought. Hehe... but yeah, hopefully, the habit of bringing recycling bags will kick in, regardless of what day it is :) Picture above shows recycling bag distributed by JASTRE (Department of Environment and Recreational Park).

The world as we know is already old and exhausted especially with pollution and the amount of natural resources used for the sake of development. But perhaps, we should take a step back and let the earth breathe once in awhile.
